Why We Built This Site
North Carolina court records can be public while still being divided among different channels. The Person County Clerk of Superior Court keeps the local trial-court file. District Court and Superior Court conduct different proceedings. The eCourts Portal gives public access to the Register of Actions, but it is not the official record. This site explains those distinctions and points to the right Person County route.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: Person County criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Hearing checks: the Person County court calendar and live-setting cautions
- Portal searches: a case search by name, record number, or citation number
- Official copies: court records, certification, and the Clerk's role
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to the North Carolina Judicial Branch, the Person County Clerk of Superior Court, or another government agency. Its limits are important:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that a published telephone number, fee, or setting remains current
Only the Person County Clerk or the court holding the case can issue an official or certified docket or record. The source links here identify that route, but they do not replace it.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers control their own results, pricing, and terms. A referral fee may be earned when a provider offers a paid service. The official Person County sources linked throughout the site remain the better route for a current court date, public case entry, or Clerk-issued record.
